Have you reached your full potential?

ian-baldwin-25547-unsplash

How often do you ponder on any new experiences that we would like to create in your life? And similarly how easy for you is to stop doing and engaging in things that make you feel bored and fed-up?

The clues that can help us reveal our true potential are our secret  hopes and dreams.

Our minds are active in protecting us from pain of disappointment and  will always err on the side of caution, sticking to what it knows and has already experienced, however mediocre that is.   “You’re too old, too young, (fill in the blank) to do that!”, “you haven’t got the right skills, qualifications blah blah blah”. Maybe you recognise this in yourself.
The danger is that this protective mechanism can turn into cynicism  if too many dreams are broken, which could ultimately take away the joy of life, and in extreme cases the will to live. One has to question the idea of depression, because with this understanding, it’s not an ‘illness’ that befalls us but rather a net-effect of this problem.

My solution to this is an exercise that I take my clients through, which is a simple one:

Imagine what you would be ideally doing first in your personal and then in your professional life in 3 years time? Immerse yourself in that imagination, however crazy in may seem, see it , feel it , maybe even taste it.

By creating a new reality in your minds eye, you open your heart to a new possibility. This then temporally shifts you out of your conditioned mind, with all this pre-programmed, automated responses that would normally shut that dream down. Looking at this potential – YOUR POTENTIAL LIFE – will uncover and  reveal all the social conditioning and emotional charges that are blocking that potential. By doing this exercise, even on your own, you will see those belief systems in the cold light of day and become more conscious of those ridiculous and redundant reasons why ‘you can’t live that life’. You will be able to exam them through a more truthful lens that opening your heart can bring to you.

Homeopathic remedies, if matched to these conditional beliefs will eliminate these energetic mental, emotional and even physical blocks (For example you will feel more energised when planning  what you want to do) to your true potential. To give some examples :

  • Shale, a mineral composite compromising of layers of shells represents doing things the way we’ve always done things – holding onto traditions that we were thought up by people who are now dead (think of shell representing security for the defenceless creature inside and the layers of shells once occupied by now deceased creatures), and therefore is usually an outmoded way, not relevant to the desires and potential that people have today.
  • Human ovary – which as an egg just simply mean human potential. This remedy tackles the block to the lack of recognition or engagement with your true potential and useful for people whose dreams were blocked when they were young adults or teenagers – they we not allowed to explore their own ideas or dreams, and were maybe funnelled into something that met the expectations of the adults around them.
  • Organophosphate represents artificially hot housing a young person to become something that is not authentic. When this person has to go out in the world without the artificial support, if they have not sufficiently connected with their own inner convictions and understandings will wilt like a hot house flower in the temperate climate. There has been some social commentary about the Millennial generation now entering the workplace and seeking the reassurance that they got from their families as their inner resilience,  that comes from having to learn things in the face of personal challenges, is lacking.
  • Strychnine represents believing that you are fated to have a limited life – we see this often in society in the form of ‘poverty consciousness’ as an example that pervades a family or society – it is often cited that lottery winners can squander the money quickly if they are in that mind-set.

I hope that I have offered a new perspective that is challenging, but also liberating. The message that I like to convey, is that we should not be seeking to fix or improve ourselves because:

Our full-potential, and ability to attain it, is already in-built into our systems.

Instead, we have to identify and liberate ourselves from those blocks to that true potential to live the life of our dreams…

Is your blood too acid or too alkaline? It could be the cause of some underlying health problems.

ph chart

In my practice I focus on predispositions and tendencies toward ill health, which are the underlying problems waiting to happen. So when things get challenging in your life and you start to feel physically or emotionally bad – instead of  firefighting or using sticking plasters, intelligently improve your constitution in order to future-proof your long-term outlook.

In homeopathy, as with many other holistic therapies, we see the vital energy as the primary component to healing. What that means in practice is that we have to see other mind/emotions and body as a electro-magnetic field. And if electro-magnetic field is distorted in some way so that it hinders the flow of this vital energy. Vital Energy is really photonic (light) in nature and is therefore a neutral energy, as opposed to the pushing energy of electricity and the pulling energy of magnetism. So one can argue that in order to allow the photonic energy to have full access to our bio-energetic sphere in order to restore it and enable the optimal functioning, we have to balance or equalise that electro magnetism in our energy field. The trick is to understand the nature of the distortion in each individual and one good way is looking at the PH levels of the blood. Why? because PH is determined by the number of positively or negatively charged ions in the solution and at the risk of being too ‘sciencey’, because I want this information to remain crystal clear, alkaline solutions have too many positively charged hydrogen ions and acidity too many negatively charged oxygen ions – here we have the potential for distortion of the electromagnetic field if the PH is not in neutral – negative charges being the magnetic pull that occurs in acids and  positive charges being the electric push. The PH of blood should ideally be 7.4 to be neutral for it’s purpose, but any increase to 7.45 (or higher causing alkalosis) is already too alkaline. Similarly a decrease to 7.35 (or lower to cause acidosis) will be too acidic. But although the distortion may seem subtle, enabling the body to continue functioning, it can cause some profound long-term degradation of health.

The role blood plays in our physiology is to circulate Oxygen around the body – Oxygen,  is an embodiment of our life-force (prana as it is called in Eastern philosophies) and the effectiveness of this endeavour  will depend on how distorted the electro-magnetic field, as represented in this case by the PH level of the blood.

So how does this display itself in practice? What can we do at home, TODAY, to start neutralising our body in order for our life force to flow less impeded?

If you have any or a combination of the following symptoms, then your blood can tend to be TOO ACIDIC:

  • Negative emotions: predominate with depression, grief and sadness
  • Family or personal history includes: cancer, heart dis-ease
  • Physical tendencies include: cysts, hormonal imbalance
  • Mental tendencies include: Addiction, co-dependancy, bi-polar mood swings

We can start to see that due to the predominance of negative Oxygen ions, there seems to be a perceived ‘lack’ that needs to be filled, within the psyche. Oxygen, in my homeopathic system, represents the void, or nothingness, so there is a need to fill that void. Here the symptoms are about unhealthy attachments or retention of things that should be eliminated from the body. The skew is too much assimilation and not enough elimination.

To start neutralising the ACID, the solution that you can put in place today is to:

  • Completely cut out red and processed meat.
  • Increase your fresh fruit and vegetable intake to be 75% of your diet, and of that, a third to be consumed raw.

Conversely, here are some of the many symptoms you could have if  your blood tends to be TOO ALKALINE:

  • Negative emotions predominate with anger, anxiety or fear
  • Family or personal history includes: autoimmune diseases, digestion problems, allergies or skin problems.
  • Physical tendencies include: skin problems,  allergies, chronic inflammatory problems, calcification problems such as gall stones, candida
  • Mental tendencies include: Attention deficit, OCD, stress, autism

We can see how the predominance of positively charged hydrogen atoms are influencing the psyche, whereby, there is a feeling that there is too much and you need to get away from everything or get rid of things. Hydrogen, as an element in homeopathy, represents detachment so wants to disconnect to create more emptiness in it’s life. So the body and mind is either in ‘fight or flight’ mode. The skew therefore is too much elimination and not enough assimilation, for example lack of mental assimilation in the mind tendencies and digestive assimilation in the digestion problems.

To start neutralising the ALKALINE, the solution that you can put in place today is to:

  • Drink half a teaspoon of cider vinegar twice a day diluted in either hot or cold water. it is pure asetic acid and in another blog I will explain why this is a life-giver in the truest form.
  • Drink distilled water ideally exclusively from all other waters. Pure H2O, which contain only negatively charged ions will reach all areas of the body and magnetize the positively charged toxins and pull them out of the body.

If you try my advice, and see how things change for you, please comment below.

Where to find the solution to your health problems

untitled

Many people who have chronic health conditions have spent time and money looking everywhere for the elusive right diet, right pill, regime, right exercise which can help for a while, but…

to find a permanent source of well-being, you have to look in the least expected place:

YOU are the source of your own HEALING POWERS, in the same way,

YOU are the source of your own HAPPINESS

YOU are the source of your own SECURITY

YOU are the source of your own CREATIVITY and therefore ABUNDANCE

YOU are the source of your AUTHORITY and VALIDATION

YOU are the source of  LOVE and COMPASSION for yourself.

YOU are the source of your own WISDOM and INTELLIGENCE

Because YOU are the source of your own vital energy, it is your life force.

This is really good news, because your fundamental well-being is really not dependant on external factors after all and you realise that you can be really well, happy and secure  regardless of your external circumstances and what is available to you.

The ONLY question remains is: what is disconnecting you from your own source of energy and thereby transforming your experience? What are you inadvertently doing that is taking you away from what will make you WHOLE and COMPLETE?

Homeopathy understands this mechanism, and so it’s only purpose, in times when the client is chronically unwell, is to endeavour to re-connect you with you own innate healing powers. We do this by working out how the person is inadvertently disconnecting themselves usually due to the conditioning, life situations and genetic makeup. We then find a remedy that matches this patterning or tendency in order heal it and thereby enabling the reconnection with your Vital Energy to occur. The net result is not only the physical problems healing, but that you generally feel better in yourself.

Here are some typical blocks to self-connection:

When you feel emotional or physically bad, what thoughts do you have?

What are you saying to yourself? Are you criticising the way you are? Judgement is a form of self-rejection, which disconnects you with yourself.

hamster

What do you think needs doing that is coming ahead of your current needs and desires? When we put goals before ourselves, we disconnect from ourselves.

boss

What trouble are other people causing for you? This is a sign that you’ve inadvertently given others authority over you. Be your own point of reference and authority and thereby you reconnect with yourself.

images6BCTUNR7

What do you believe you haven’t got to be ok? We can compromise ourselves in the pursuit of things we think we lack, such as money, friendship, love.

When we start to become aware of how we are compromising ourselves, due to the belief that the outside world is more important than we are, we have a choice:

“Do I want to play the victim or do I want my power back?”

If you want your power – which is your life force – back then YOU have to the most important thing in your life. In order to do this we have to listen inwards not outwards as our first priority.

CLUES that will let you know whether you are connecting with yourself and thereby your life-force:

When you are thinking or doing something that makes your heart sink –  this is your natural alarm signal that you are disconnecting from your life force – your body always tells the truth.

When you are connected, you feel either passionate, ‘in the moment’, excited, interested, loving, peaceful – these are the results and not cause of being connected to your life force – it is therefore your natural state.

How it works in practice:

A great example of this, with a timely reminder that Apple was recently proclaimed the most profitable company in the world due to its most desirable products. The late founder and visionary behind Apple, Steve Jobs, who was known for his counter-culture background  interestingly spent a year in India in his youth. India is the mecca for spiritual seekers, whereby it is encouraged to look within in mediation, and notice dispassionately what our thoughts are up to and what we would normally be compelled to act upon. Once these thoughts (which are only thoughts, with no actual substance) are seen through, our ‘true nature’ which precedes those thoughts is seen. And that is the immense power, wisdom and love that we really ‘are’. So, Steve Jobs is one of many examples of how each of us could see beyond current constrained thinking, by thus tapping into his own creativity – which is one of the many functions of our vital energy which develops bigger and better ideas.

One simple Principle to ensure Health, Happiness and Success:

Live your life through LOVE, not FEAR.

tesla

20th and 21st century scientists have discovered that everything has a frequency, because everything is made of energy. The fear frequency has a lower vibration to the love frequency and so therefore matter will be affected accordingly.

There are fundamentally two types of emotions that we experience – the negative ones such as anger, hate, anxiety, sadness are bourne out of fear. Conversely, good feelings such as excitement, happiness, bliss are bourne out of love – which enables true acceptance and harmony.

The fear frequency makes us feel disconnected, alone, out of balance, uncooperative, destructive.  This becomes reflected in our bodies, as we develop dis-ease and aging.

The love frequency, conversely, not only enables better health, because the cells in our body act in a more balanced, functional and cooperative way (cells communicate with one another when healthy), but through higher frequency energy we gain clearer, deeper insights into overcoming any problems that we are experiencing.

So here are some examples of how you can orientate yourself to live your life through LOVE, not fear:

  • Whilst driving, you keep within the speed limit because you LOVE to feel safe and cooperative with other drivers, not because you FEAR that the speed cameras will get you.
  • You clean the house, because you LOVE providing a pleasant environment for your family, not because you FEAR what the visitors are going to think.
  • You cook a nutritous meal, because you LOVE to nurture your kids, not because you FEAR that they are going to lack nutrition and therefore fail to grow.
  • You practice reading with your child, because you LOVE seeing them develop and share an activity with them, not because you FEAR that they will be illiterate.
  • You go to work because you LOVE earning money and being productive, not because you FEAR that you may not be able to pay the mortgage if you don’t.
  • You run your business because you LOVE providing solutions to clients, not because you FEAR that you’re lacking income.
  • You meet up with friends, because you LOVE their company, not because, if you don’t, you FEAR that you’ll be lonely.
  • You take the medicine because you LOVE restoring your health, not because you FEAR that you’ll remain sick if you don’t.
  • You LOVE feeling tired because it’s your cue to cut yourself some slack and enjoy a rest, rather than FEARing that you won’t get it all done.
  • You LOVE being ill, because it gives you and others the chance to look after you, rather than FEARing that there is something wrong with you.
  • You LOVE being critised, because someone cares enough about your well-being and wants to be part of your life, rather than FEARing that you can’t defend yourself.

Someone who I feel gives a good example of this principle is Wilko Johnson, the Dr Feelgood musician. In January 2013 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given less than a year to live. But because he chose to LOVE his life more than he FEARED his death, he not only managed to survive it without chemo-therapy, he is positively thriving to this day. It is common for many patients to decline in health after such a diagnosis, because usually fear dominates the person’s reaction. The problem is that in our culture we have elevated science to the status of a substitute god, all seeing, all knowing, which then gives it the power of suggestion.  However, during the time of diagnosis, Wilko described in a radio interview how he walked out of the doctors surgery and everything looked alive and vibrant. He had decided to use this predicament as an opportunity to play music with musicians that he admired and felt he had a good bargaining counter. And that is what he is doing to this day, despite having recently had an operation on the tumour, is healthy enough to continue his LOVE of life.

You can start to see that even the most seemingly negative scenarios can always be loved by you, contrary to some of our inbuilt beliefs. The important point to make here is that in truth you can never change your circumstance – which is what we normally try to do, but fail – See How to Eliminate Stress from your Life. This is because our mind, due to the power of it’s imagination, can lead us to believe that there can be a moment other than this one.

When do you remember to practice this principle? When your heart sinks – this is an indication that you have disconnected with your life-force, because you are living in fear and not in love. See Let Your Heart be Your GPS.

So when we do live through love, we reconnect with our innate healing powers, insights and wisdom and power. This is how I work with my clients: to find out in which areas are difficult to love due to conditioned or limited beliefs. Once it is matched with the remedy, the patient finds a new positive perspective, however bad the situation seems to be and this is what allows healing to commence.

Contrary to popular belief, no one has the power over the outcome of your life, except you – not by doing anything, as we commonly believe, but by the lens that we hold up to the world. We can either look through the eyes of FEAR or through the eyes of LOVE.

But, don’t take my word for it – find out for yourself.  I’d be interested to hear how you get on: Drop me a line at meikelawrence@hotmail.co.uk

Being the Best Version of Yourself

individualism

Do you ever get the feeling that there is more that you could be or do, but that you somehow cannot make this happen in your life? When this feeling becomes chronic, we feel deadened, uninspired, frustrated and maybe even depressed and dis-empowered.

In my work with clients, using the Mace Energy Method, that supports the homeopathic treatment, I see this as a cue for them to dismantle the blocks that stop them from being themselves: and that is sub-consciously holding on to old beliefs and roles, that you may have adopted in the past for security, but are not in line with what you really want to experience now. The reason they remain in place is because we are somehow fearful of what will become of us. On closer examination, however, we realise that these fears are not only unfounded but are blocking us from bigger and better experiences!

I found new teen-flick Divergent that I saw with my 17-year-old daughter an inspiring example. An every day story of a dystopian world where evil adults corrupt innocent teenagers, that go through a right of passage. The message of the film goes deeper and it reflected how we get stuck in roles that no longer serve us or communities. We end up playing the small, safe, game, instead of being the best version of ourselves, that will ultimately benefit you and your community to a much greater level.

To detail: the story of a post-apocalyptic community tried to created social functionality and harmony by creating 5 possible roles that could be played in the community – which included helpers, growers, law makers, scientist and protectors, that the coming of age teenagers had to opt into. Hallucinogenic induced psychometric tests that accessed their subconscious would reveal which roles best suited them. They then, however, discovered that some individuals realised that their induced hallucinatory state, designed to provoke fear so that they would act in an role-appropriate way, was not real. In doing so they found easier ways of solving the problems presented to them. They were aware enough to see beyond the illusion. These individuals were called divergent, and if found out would be eliminated from the society, as they were deemed dangerous to the system. – they were not responding to the fear triggers and could therefore not be conditioned or programmed through fear. As Robert Holden of The Happiness Project says, FEAR is an acronym for Fantasy Experienced As if Real.

The story goes on to show how two undetected divergents manage to save the community. It had become corrupted by a small number of people seeking power, through programming by drugging the law enforcers. The tyrannical individuals believed that man must override his nature in favour of the role that he plays, ie the head must rule the heart. The divergents, however, could not be programmed to carry out the ensuing mass-genocide that was advocated to ‘keep the peace’ (Sounds familiar?).  They could therefore identify and deal with the tyranny and corruption, thus saving the community.

So here is the paradox – do we sacrifice ourselves to our given roles and respond to triggers that induce fear, or do we look beyond the fear and engage in our true passions and individuality? What is the opposite of fear? It is Love. So first step towards achieving this is to make your decisions based on what you love (what feels good) or and not what you fear. (See ‘Let your Heart be Your GPS’). The passion that ensues will always show you the way to solve your problems. This way we become the best versions of ourselves that gives everyone, including yourself, better rewards and fulfillment.

Here is a simple exercise that I discovered that will help to uncover The REAL YOU that is waiting to emerge, but is as yet blocked:

Write down:

1. A real or fictional character that you admire – list their qualities.

2 A type of person you tend to envy: what qualities do they have that you don’t? What do they get that you would love to have.

The first list show the qualities that you currently value and benefit from yourself. The second list shows you WHO YOU WANT TO BE – this is your POTENTIAL within your particular blueprint that is currently blocked by conditioning. As a homeopath, I find this exercise useful information to help me prescribe a remedy specific to you.

Surviving Family politics at Christmas

“If you think you’re enlightened, then visit your family at the week-end!” – Ram Dass

Many clients tell me how difficult family relationships have affected them at various points in their lives. As adults, we start to have control who we spend time with and who influences us in our lives, but Christmas time is the one time where obligations overrule those choices.

Homeopathy always makes connections with our emotional well-being and our physical complaints. The body reflects our subconscious and will always try to express what you are consciously trying to repress. It’s as if it’s saying “I’m going to express this hurt/anger/upset (fill in the blank) if you don’t!”. So it is important to heal old upsets to ensure future health and well-being.

Our usual response to others when they misjudge us or don’t give us the respect we deserve is to direct anger and judgement towards them – this then creates dramas between people as the battle zones are drawn up. After many years those zones becomes entrenched and you no longer see them as thinking/feeling humans but more as one-dimensional pantomime villains. One common rubric I use to find a remedy for a client in such situations is ‘dwelling on past disagreeable occurrences’.

The holistic way of approaching this matter is to see that people and situations that happen ‘to us’ are a mirror to ourselves. No, it doesn’t mean that you are a horrible person, it just means that you are not judging yourself correctly. To illustrate this, when you feel on top of the world or in love you temporally become immune to adverse circumstances/people in your life. It would be even more beneficial if this was a permanent state of affairs.

I was reminded of this myself a couple of years ago. I used to find myself regularly in situations such as social gatherings where relative strangers would suddenly ‘attack’ me because I was a homeopath.  Their accusations were that I was doing very dangerous things to people such as giving them false hope and telling them not to take medication, whilst taking their money. This stirred up feelings of guilt and victimisation because I had not initiated the argument.

I knew I had to stop being angry and upset with the person, as this would perpetuate the drama inside me. Instead I let the situation tell me what I believed about myself that didn’t help me – which was that I felt responsible for other’s feelings and well-being, and I was scared if they were not happy with me. Once I could see this belief that I held clearly, it became obvious to me that it simply wasn’t true. Then it became easy to ditch this belief about myself, which made me feel much lighter and freer in all encounters with other people. I no longer had to engineer my circumstances in life so much in order to feel ok.

I work with my clients to help eliminate their emotional buttons, so that they become immune to the dramas that others wish to engage in. In doing so it can be seen that there is no need to improve ourselves (as many self-help books advocate), because once we get rid of our false beliefs of who we are meant to be, we see that we are already perfect! then we can start redefining who we really want to be – see Are you getting what you want out of life?

So one path to heal old upsets that have never been resolved is to allow yourself to be out of your emotional comfort-zone AKA Christmas family gatherings and use this as a learning tool to overcome past traumas and incorrect beliefs about yourself.

Are you waiting for the ambulance to pick you up?

Following the recent news that the NHS are already predicting a system break-down this winter in its emergency services, surely isn’t it time we re-thought the overall strategy we take about our health?

We are encouraged to only seek professional help once there are definite signs of illness. But for different people this can mean different things: People range from a small number known as ‘heart sink’ patients by doctors that do not have any physical pathology, but suffer from a range of issues from anxiety to loneliness that take up the majority of doctors time. At the other end of the spectrum there are people who remain in total denial of blatant health warning signals, until they have to dial 999.

So the net result of our state system , which is designed to manage sickness rather than enable better health, is unsatisfactory and stressful for doctors and patients alike.

Instead, how about a system that ensures life-long good health and well-being so that we never get to the stage of reaching a health crisis? This would put all of us in a better position to not even expect illness, be it chronic or acute. Surely this is what we really want for ourselves and our families?

Although the government has made moves towards sickness prevention by telling people how to live their lives through public health campaigns – but as the 5 a day campaign proved, has not been as effective in improving of overall public health as expected.

The homeopathic medical system  offers a different approach: Practitioners welcome clients at whatever stage they feel that their physical or mental well-being is not as it should be in order to live the life that they wish. This is because it treats the person (so that they can overcome any disease state) and not the illness on its own. It is therefore not necessary to have a diagnosis in order to benefit from treatment, even though we always advise a diagnosis from the doctor if there are malignant symptoms.

Many people who have had homeopathic treatment report increased energy and  generally more positive and inspired outlook in life. When our mind and body is in balance, we function in a more effortless way. But more importantly not only does constitutional treatment enable the body to overcome current illness, we are less likely to develop illness. This therefore ensures better health in the long-term and less anxiety about unexpected illness like a ‘bolt out of the blue’.

My aim for the patients that I treat, is to EMPOWER them in their own health, so that they are their own expert, leading to less anxiety and less reliance on external services to achieve their maximum health potential.

One way that I achieve this is to inform the patient about their particular homeopathic ‘constitutional type’. This is so they can understand their tendencies, issues and weak spots both emotionally and physically. Thus the patient is able to make the right choices to enhance their health and well-being. Remember: one-size does not fit all – you become your own expert, while other become theirs.

I believe anyone interested in health should consider this new paradigm:

To move away from a ‘sickness industry’,  profiteering in long-term and/or expensive medication to ‘manage’ illness towards a wellness industry, that enhances the individual’s health so that illness, chronic or acute is no longer prevalent.
